Wide Brioche Cable Hat
This is a lovely faux cable hat which is deceptively easy to knit. I have supplied links to my YouTube tutorials covering the techniques mentioned. The result is a soft, squishy hat with loads of texture. The decreases for brioche in the round make the cables flatter even though they still make a statement.
It is knitted from the bottom up starting with a plain brioche stitch fold over brim. I have started with the Italian cast on using a smaller needle but you can use any stretchy cast on you prefer. The stitch pattern has a 16 stitch repeat.
The pattern has been tech edited thanks to Emily Wakeling and test knitted to ensure you have the best possible knitting experience.

Set of 5 DPNs 3.5 mm (US 4) 15 cm long for top of hat or longer circular needle for magic loop.
