I have long been fascinated with transparency in hand knits. What better way to display varying degrees of transparency than by shining a light through the knitted fabric? Using a yarn with a slightly slubby texture adds interest.
This collection of pendant lampshades will brighten any room of your home. Make them in classic white for a more traditional feel, or choose brights to add a playful splash of color to a dark corner. The purple version uses beads for a little added sparkle.
Each lampshade is worked in the round. Separate knitting instructions are given for each. The assembly instructions are the same for all three versions.
The metal parts are readily available at your local craft store. They come in shiny silver or brass - I spray painted them a cream color to make the metal less obtrusive.
