This pattern is for the hat but there is a matching cowl that can be purchased separately.
The stitches are simple because they use the mosaic stitch method of colourwork. You will be working with only one colour at a time in each round. Easy peasy even if you are new to this type of knitting.
You can easily substitute with any worsted that will give a suitable gauge.
Measurements: After gentle blocking: approx. 21 cm/8 1/2” height,
47 cm/18 1/2” across main mosaic motif, 48 cm/19” brim.
Gauge: Before and after blocking: 21 stitches x 28 rows = 10 cm/4” square in stocking stitch with
5 mm/US 8 needles in the round. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.
